Shamsud-Din Jabbar, the 42-year-old responsible for the New Year’s Day attack in New Orleans, was found to have a bomb-making setup in his Houston trailer home.
Investigators discovered a Quran opened to a passage promoting martyrdom and violence, alongside bomb-making materials and children’s toys.
Jabbar’s attack on Bourbon Street resulted in 14 fatalities and numerous injuries. He was killed in a shootout with police following the incident.
