Horrifying Plane Crash Footage: Factory Roof Incident Leaves 2 Dead and 18 Injured
On January 2, 2025, a small plane crashed into the roof of a furniture manufacturing warehouse near Fullerton Municipal Airport in Southern California, resulting in two fatalities and 19 injuries.
The aircraft, identified as a Van’s RV-10—a four-seat, single-engine, low-wing homebuilt plane—took off from Fullerton Municipal Airport around 2:00 PM PST. Shortly after takeoff, the pilot requested an emergency return to the airport but did not specify the issue.
The plane crashed less than two minutes later, approximately 1,000 feet short of the runway, penetrating the warehouse roof and igniting a significant fire.
The two individuals who perished are believed to have been aboard the aircraft, while the 19 injured were inside the warehouse at the time of the crash.
Emergency responders evacuated more than 100 workers from the building, and the fire was subsequently extinguished.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
Surveillance footage captured the harrowing moment of impact, showing the plane tilted on its side before crashing into the building.
