Ondo State Grieves: SSG Oluwatuyi Passes Away Weeks After Car Accident
Temitayo Oluwatuyi, the Secretary to the Ondo State Government (SSG), passed away on January 4, 2025, following complications from a car accident on December 15, 2024.
The accident occurred along the Ife-Ibadan Road while he was traveling to Ibadan.
Oluwatuyi, affectionately known as “Tukana,” was hospitalized at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital in Ile-Ife, where he succumbed to his injuries.
His passing has elicited condolences from various quarters, including Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, who both expressed their sympathies to the Ondo State Government and Oluwatuyi’s family.
Oluwatuyi’s career in public service was marked by significant contributions, including roles as Chairman of Akure South Local Government, Commissioner, and twice as SSG.
His dedication to administrative coordination and policy implementation had a lasting impact on Ondo State.
