Kano Police Success: Two-Year-Old Kidnapping Victim Rescued
The Kano State Police Command has arrested a 25-year-old suspect, Abubakar Musa, for the kidnapping of a two-year-old boy, Al’amin Ahmad Garba. The suspect demanded a ransom of fifty million naira (N50,000,000) for the child’s release.
The arrest took place on December 25, 2024, following a police operation that led to the rescue of the child, who had been held for three days in a house located in Unguwar Liman Dorayi quarters, Kano.
After his rescue, Al’amin was taken to Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital for medical evaluation, treated, and subsequently discharged. He has since been reunited with his family.
On January 3, 2025, Abubakar Musa was charged in Nominal Magisterial Court Number 25 and is currently being held in remand. The Commissioner of Police, Salman Dogo Garba, reiterated the command’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all residents in Kano State.
