Zamfara Victory: Notorious Terrorist Leader Neutralized by Troops
In a significant operation, troops from the 1 Brigade, Sector 2 Joint Task Force North West, Operation Fansan Yamma, have neutralized a notorious terrorist kingpin, Sani Rusu, in Zamfara State.
The operation took place in Bamamu Village, Tsafe Local Government Area, where the troops conducted a fighting patrol and engaged with terrorists in the area.
On the same day, acting on credible intelligence, the troops conducted an ambush operation at Kwanar Jollof in Shinkafi Local Government Area. This led to the neutralization of several terrorists, while others sustained fatal injuries. The troops recovered one AK-47 rifle, one G3 rifle, eight rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, four rounds of 7.62mm NATO ammunition, three magazines, and three motorcycles.
These operations are part of the ongoing efforts by Operation Fansan Yamma to eradicate terrorism in the region. The Joint Task Force has reaffirmed its commitment to restoring peace and security in Zamfara State and has urged residents to continue cooperating with security agencies to achieve these objectives.
