Insights from Sadio Mane, 32: The Footballer Reveals His Vision for Parenthood with His 19-Year-Old Spouse
Senegalese footballer Sadio Mané, 32, has expressed his desire to have a large family with his wife, Aisha Tamba, whom he married in January 2024 when she was 18.
In a recent interview, Mané stated, “If it is just a choice, I would say 3 or 4. Except that it is God who decides and I will thank Him no matter what.” He humorously added, “Maybe seven or eight children, you never know. Whatever the number is, I will accept it and thank God.”
Mané and Tamba’s marriage, which took place in a traditional Islamic ceremony in Keur Massar, Senegal, has garnered attention due to their 13-year age difference. Despite this, the union received full blessings from Tamba’s family, with her father praising Mané’s humility and respect for tradition.
The couple’s relationship reportedly began two years prior to their marriage, facilitated through family connections. Tamba, who was a student at the time, completed her studies with Mané’s support, earning her diploma with distinction. Now, a year into their marriage, she is considering pursuing higher education, with Mané’s encouragement.
