Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s Divorce Settlement: Understanding the Dynamics of Their Five-Month Split
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have finalized their divorce settlement, concluding their two-year marriage. Lopez filed for divorce on August 20, 2024, citing irreconcilable differences, with the separation date listed as April 26, 2024.
The settlement specifies that both parties will retain their individual assets acquired during the marriage, and neither will pay spousal support. Lopez also plans to revert to her legal name, Jennifer Lynn Lopez, dropping Affleck’s surname.
The couple’s $61 million Beverly Hills mansion remains on the market, with details of its division undisclosed. Despite the split, Lopez and Affleck have maintained a cordial relationship, co-producing the upcoming film “Unstoppable.”
This marks Lopez’s fourth divorce and Affleck’s second. Both have children from previous relationships and have been seen together with their families during the divorce process.
