Heung-Min Son Stays with Tottenham: Contract Extended Until 2026
Tottenham Hotspur has exercised an option to extend Heung-Min Son’s contract, securing the South Korean forward’s services until the summer of 2026.
Son, who joined Tottenham from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015, has been a pivotal figure for the club. Over his tenure, he has made 431 appearances, scoring 169 goals and providing 90 assists. His contributions have cemented his status as one of the Premier League’s top forwards, with 125 goals placing him among the league’s top 20 all-time scorers.
In the 2021-2022 season, Son’s exceptional performance earned him the Premier League Golden Boot, making him the first Asian player to achieve this honor.
This contract extension ensures that Son remains a central figure in Tottenham’s lineup under manager Ange Postecoglou. Despite facing some challenges this season, including a dip in form and fitness concerns, the club’s decision reflects their confidence in his abilities and importance to the team’s future endeavors.
