Los Angeles Wildfire: Dramatic Photos Capture Celebrity and Resident Evacuations
A rapidly spreading wildfire in Los Angeles’ Pacific Palisades neighborhood has prompted evacuations of thousands of residents, including several celebrities. The fire, fueled by strong winds reaching up to 100 mph, has consumed over 3,000 acres and threatens more than 13,000 structures.
Among those affected are actors Eugene Levy and James Woods, who evacuated their homes due to the encroaching flames. Levy described the intense black smoke over Temescal Canyon, while Woods shared updates on social media about his evacuation experience.
Additionally, reality TV personalities Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag lost their Pacific Palisades home to the wildfire. Pratt documented the devastation on social media, expressing gratitude for their safety despite the loss.
The Getty Villa Museum, located in the affected area, has closed temporarily as a precaution, though its collections remain unharmed. The museum plans to reopen once conditions are deemed safe.
Local authorities have issued evacuation orders for approximately 30,000 residents and are urging compliance to ensure public safety. Firefighting efforts are ongoing, with challenges posed by the extreme winds hindering aerial support.
