Tragedy in Borno: Boko Haram Kills Two Policemen in Latest Attack
On January 9, 2025, Boko Haram insurgents attacked the Nganzai Police Division in Gajiram, Borno State, resulting in the deaths of two police officers.
The assault occurred around 12:10 a.m., with the terrorists launching a surprise attack on the station. The Borno State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Nahum Daso, confirmed the incident and stated that the Commissioner of Police, Yusufu Lawal, visited the scene to assess the situation.
During the visit, grenades were recovered, indicating the severity of the attack.
Commissioner Lawal commended the bravery of the officers who defended the station and extended condolences to the families of the deceased. He emphasized the commitment of the police force to continue their efforts in combating insurgency in the region.
