The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced a significant increase in prize money for the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), scheduled to take place from February 2 to 28, 2024, across Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.

- Winner’s Prize: The champions of CHAN 2024 will receive $3.5 million, marking a 75% increase from the previous edition’s $2 million reward.
- Total Prize Pool: The overall prize money for the tournament has been elevated to $10.4 million, representing a 32% increase.
CAF President Patrice Motsepe emphasized the importance of this development, stating, “The CHAN is crucial for the growth and advancement of Africa-based footballers and young talent, and it will play a key role in enhancing the global competitiveness of African football and CAF competitions.”
