Governor Sule Exposes Illegal Teacher Recruitment in Nasarawa
Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has revealed that approximately 80% of teachers illegally recruited by the suspended Teachers’ Service Commission (TSC) lack the necessary qualifications to teach effectively.
He noted that many of these individuals are unable to write basic documents, such as acceptance letters, highlighting their inadequacy for the teaching profession.
In response to this issue, Governor Sule has stated that his administration will not absorb these unqualified teachers, as doing so would undermine efforts to reform and improve the state’s educational system. He emphasized the importance of hiring qualified educators to enhance the quality of education in Nasarawa State.
To address the situation, Governor Sule has initiated a thorough investigation into the illegal recruitment practices of the TSC.
He has also proposed organizing a new interview session for all employed teachers, including those previously approved, to ensure that only qualified individuals are selected for teaching positions. This initiative aims to provide equal opportunities and uphold the integrity of the state’s educational system.
