Boko Haram Strikes Again: Borno’s Chibok Community Under Fire
On January 12, 2025, suspected Boko Haram terrorists attacked Bazir village in Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State. The assailants killed two brothers, razed a church, and set several residential houses ablaze after looting food crops and livestock.
This incident is part of a series of attacks in the region. On January 2, 2025, terrorists attacked Njilang village in the same Chibok LGA, causing significant destruction and displacing the entire community.
Local residents have called on the government and security agencies to take urgent action to address the renewed attacks in Southern Borno. They emphasize the need for protection and security to ensure that people, especially those in Chibok, can live in peace and safety.
