Actor Leonardo DiCaprio Commits $1 Million to Aid Los Angeles Wildfire Recovery
Leonardo DiCaprio has pledged $1 million to support relief efforts for the devastating Los Angeles wildfires. In partnership with Re:wild’s Rapid Response Program, his donation will aid organizations such as the LA Fire Department Foundation, California Fire Foundation, World Central Kitchen, California Community Foundation, Pasadena Humane Society, and SoCal Fire Fund. These groups are providing essential resources to first responders, firefighters, and affected communities.
The Los Angeles wildfires, which began on January 7, have become the most destructive in the city’s history, resulting in thousands of displaced individuals and a death toll of 25.
DiCaprio’s contribution adds to a growing list of celebrities supporting wildfire relief efforts. BeyoncĂ© has donated $2.5 million through her foundation, BeyGood, while Jamie Lee Curtis and Eva Longoria have each pledged $1 million. Other notable figures, including Paris Hilton, Jennifer Garner, and Halle Berry, have also made significant contributions.
