Cold Weather Forces Trump’s January 20th Inauguration Indoors
President-elect Donald Trump has announced that his inauguration ceremony, scheduled for January 20, 2025, will be moved indoors to the U.S. Capitol Rotunda due to forecasts of dangerously cold temperatures in Washington, D.C.
This marks the first time since 1985 that a presidential inauguration will be held indoors, a decision made to ensure the safety and comfort of attendees.
To accommodate the public, Trump has arranged for a live viewing of the ceremony at Capital One Arena, where he plans to join the crowd after the swearing-in.
Despite the change in venue, the inaugural parade and other events are expected to proceed as scheduled.
