Spyro Highlights God’s Unconditional Faithfulness in Critique of Ubi Franklin
Nigerian singer Spyro recently took to social media to express his gratitude, stating, “God has been faithful without taking 10 percent on his faithfulness.” This remark is widely interpreted as a subtle dig at music executive Ubi Franklin, amidst their ongoing financial dispute.
The conflict began when Spyro accused Franklin of withholding a $5,000 performance fee from a show in Ghana. In response, Franklin claimed that Spyro owed him a 10% commission, amounting to ₦10.5 million, for facilitating a car purchase.
Spyro refuted this, clarifying that the 10% was a discount from the car company for a promotional video he did for them, not a commission owed to Franklin.
