Abuja Baby Factory Raided: NAPTIP Saves Pregnant Women
The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has busted a baby factory operation in Abuja, rescuing nine pregnant women in the process. The operation, which was carried out following intelligence reports, uncovered the illegal facility where the women were allegedly being held with the intention of selling their newborns.
According to NAPTIP officials, the victims were lured with promises of financial assistance and shelter, only to be exploited by the syndicate running the baby factory. The agency has assured that investigations are ongoing to apprehend those behind the illegal operation and bring them to justice.
The rescued women are currently receiving medical care and counseling as authorities work on their rehabilitation and reintegration into society.
