Ondo House Blaze: Investigating the Fatal Fire That Killed Two Siblings

A tragic incident occurred in Akure, Ondo State, where two young siblings, Jelad Oluwaranakinse (5 years old) and his brother, Jenson (3 years old), lost their lives in a house fire.

Reports indicate that their mother, Mrs. Deborah Oluwaranakinse, had locked them inside their home while she stepped out to buy food. During her absence, a fire broke out, engulfing the apartment and leading to the untimely deaths of the children.

Neighbors attempted to extinguish the flames and rescue the children, but their efforts were unsuccessful. The Ondo State Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Funmilayo Odunlami, confirmed the incident and stated that investigations are underway to determine the cause of the fire.

The remains of the children have been deposited at the University of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital in Akure.
