Kaduna Under Siege: 22 Abducted in Latest Bandit Raids
In recent attacks on Kaduna State, Nigeria, suspected bandits have abducted 22 residents from the Kugauta and Kitanda communities within Kumana Chiefdom of Kauru Local Government Area.
The incidents occurred around 10:30 pm on Friday, with 12 individuals taken from Kitanda and 10 from Kugauta. The victims include women and children.
Former Senator Shehu Sani confirmed the abductions, identifying some of the kidnapped individuals as Alhaji Yusuf and his family, Alhaji Kasuwa and his family, Dantala Direba and his family, Sule Maishago and his family, along with an unspecified number of Almajiri children.
These incidents highlight the ongoing security challenges in Kaduna State, where communities continue to face threats from armed groups.
