Kano Anti-Graft Chairman: Ganduje Faces Ongoing Bribery Prosecution
The Chairman of the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC), Muhuyi Magaji Rimingado, has reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to prosecuting former Kano State Governor and current All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, on charges of bribery, misappropriation, and diversion of public funds.
Rimingado emphasized that the prosecution will proceed despite recent challenges, including his own arrest. He stated, “Yes, we are prosecuting him in person.” He further noted that the investigation into Ganduje began in 2021 and has faced various obstacles, including his own arrest, detention, and alleged mistreatment.
Rimingado asserted, “I was made to leave and passed through a series of tribulation including arrest, detention, assault and humiliation.” He added, “When I came back, I continued from where I stopped. So, I am not witch-hunting anybody.”
