Photographer Sues 50 Cent: Allegations of Assault with SUV Emerge
Rapper 50 Cent, born Curtis Jackson, is facing a lawsuit filed by photographer Guadalupe De Los Santos, who alleges that Jackson directed his entourage to strike him with an SUV door, causing injury. The incident reportedly occurred on September 11, 2024, following a book signing event at The Grove in Los Angeles. De Los Santos claims that as he was riding his electric scooter and recording footage, Jackson’s SUV pulled up next to him at a red light.
He alleges that the vehicle’s front passenger door was forcefully opened, striking him on the left side and knocking him off his scooter. De Los Santos asserts that there was no reason for the door to open other than to hit him, and he believes Jackson ordered the act. He is seeking damages for medical expenses and lost earnings due to the incident.
In response, 50 Cent’s legal team has stated that they have not been served with the lawsuit and consider the claim frivolous. They intend to seek dismissal of the matter and pursue sanctions against the plaintiff. The rapper also shared a photo with attorney Gloria Allred on social media, captioned, “The moment I realized I don’t like lawyers, Gloria you should know better, chase a different ambulance.”
This lawsuit adds to a series of legal challenges faced by 50 Cent, including a defamation case filed by his ex-girlfriend, Shaniqua Tompkins, and a copyright infringement lawsuit related to his television series “Power.” The outcome of the current lawsuit could have significant implications for Jackson’s public image and financial standing.
