Defamation Lawsuit: Nnamdi Kanu Seeks N20bn Against Police’s Muyiwa Adejobi
As of January 29, 2025, there is no publicly available information indicating that Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has filed a ₦20 billion defamation lawsuit against police spokesperson Muyiwa Adejobi. However, Kanu has initiated defamation suits against other individuals.
On January 22, 2025, he filed a ₦100 billion defamation suit against Bashir Ahmad, former Special Assistant on Digital Communication to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, alleging that Ahmad labeled him a terrorist on social media.
Previously, in November 2022, Kanu issued a pre-action notice to Attorney-General Abubakar Malami, seeking ₦20 billion in damages for alleged defamation related to claims that Kanu had jumped bail.
