Yabatech Lecturer’s Emotional Birthday as Students Shower Him with Gifts
A heartwarming video showing the moment some Yaba College of Technology students surprised their lecturer, Olufosoye Michael, with gifts on his birthday, has gone viral.
The clip, shared by TikTok user @yinks_artistry on Friday, shows students pausing their lecture to present him with different gifts, including food provisions.
Overwhelmed by their kindness, the lecturer became teary and thereafter expressed his gratitude to the students. The video has garnered reactions even from former students of the school who recounted fond memories of the lecturer.
One of the former students, Adejimi Ayomide, wrote
“I remember when I had just given birth in 2021 during my final year. He would take my son from my husband, carry him, and play with him, along with Mrs. Akinbo. Wherever you go in life, may God’s mercy be with you.”
Another former student, Anuoluwa, expressed appreciation;
“Mr. Michael made my education at YABATECH easy and stress-free. Thank you for being an amazing lecturer and the best teacher I could ask for! “
