FCT Police’s Heroic Save: Woman Trapped by Posing Lover Freed
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has successfully rescued a young woman from a suspected ritualist who had posed as a prospective lover she met online. Reports indicate that the suspect lured the lady under the guise of pursuing a romantic relationship but had sinister intentions.
According to police sources, the victim had been in contact with the suspect through a social media platform. The situation took a dangerous turn when the suspect invited her to meet in person, leading to her captivity. Acting on a tip-off from concerned individuals, the police conducted a swift operation and rescued the woman before harm could come to her.
The suspect was apprehended during the rescue operation, and preliminary investigations revealed evidence suggesting he had plans to use the victim for ritual purposes. Items typically associated with ritual activities were reportedly found in his possession.
The FCT Police Command has advised the public to exercise caution when engaging with strangers online and to always inform trusted friends or family members of their whereabouts when meeting someone for the first time. The suspect remains in custody, and further investigations are underway.
