Spain’s Star Striker Alvaro Morata Joins Galatasaray on Loan
Spanish striker Álvaro Morata has joined Galatasaray on loan from AC Milan until January 20, 2026. The Turkish club will pay a loan fee of €6 million and has an option to make the transfer permanent.
During the loan period, Morata will earn a guaranteed salary of €3 million for each half-season. If Galatasaray chooses to make the move permanent by January 15, 2026, they can do so for €8 million. Alternatively, they can extend the loan until June 30, 2026, with an additional payment of €3 million to Morata, and then have the option to purchase him for €9 million by June 10, 2026.
Morata, 32, joined AC Milan from Atlético Madrid in 2024 for €13 million. Throughout his career, he has played for prominent clubs including Real Madrid, Juventus, and Chelsea, achieving multiple league titles and Champions League victories.
Upon his arrival in Istanbul, Morata was warmly received by Galatasaray supporters. He expressed his gratitude and enthusiasm, stating his desire to bring joy to the fans and contribute to the team’s success.
In a related move, AC Milan has signed Mexican striker Santiago Giménez from Feyenoord on a four-and-a-half-year deal, filling the void left by Morata’s departure.
