Arms and Ammunition Seized by Troops in Plateau
Troops from Sector 4 of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) have apprehended a suspected gunrunner in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State. The arrest was made following actionable intelligence regarding the suspect’s activities. During the operation, security personnel recovered a fabricated rifle, an AK-47 magazine, 15 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, a knife, and a motorcycle. The suspect is currently in custody and is providing critical information to aid ongoing efforts against criminal networks in the region.
In a related development, the same security team intercepted another group of four gunrunners at Kwanan Fulani. A search of the suspects revealed an AK-47 rifle, a fabricated AK-47 rifle, one round of 7.62mm special ammunition, three motorcycles, and a jackknife. The suspects and the recovered items are now in the custody of security agencies and are undergoing interrogation.
