Successful Raid: Bauchi Police Seize AK-49 and Ammunition
On February 5, 2025, the Bauchi State Police Command, in collaboration with special hunters, conducted a tactical operation in the Dajin Madan Forest within the Gwana District. This area borders Taraba, Plateau, and Gombe states. The operation led to the neutralization of two suspected bandits. An AK-49 assault rifle and nine rounds of live ammunition were recovered at the scene.
The operation was initiated by the Alkaleri Divisional Police Headquarters, utilizing credible intelligence and established community networks. During surveillance activities, the team encountered the suspected bandits, resulting in a proactive engagement. Reports indicate that additional assailants sustained injuries and fled into nearby bushes.
