Unrecognized: Travis Scott’s Altercation with NBA Security
During the recent Los Angeles Lakers vs. Los Angeles Clippers game on February 4, 2025, rapper Travis Scott was briefly detained by a security guard who failed to recognize him. As Scott attempted to walk onto the court post-game, the security personnel, not identifying him and noticing the absence of visible floor credentials, grabbed his arm to escort him away. Scott promptly brushed off the guard’s hold and continued walking.
The incident was captured on video and has since circulated widely. Reports indicate that the security guard was a third-party employee who mistook Scott for someone without proper access. Following the event, the Clippers organization reached out to Scott to apologize and reassigned the security guard to a different area within the arena.
