Early Morning Prayer Disrupted by Bandit Invasion
On Thursday, February 6, 2025, during the early morning Subhi prayer, gunmen attacked a mosque in Bushe community, Sabon Birni Local Government Area of Sokoto State. They abducted at least 10 worshippers, including the Imam.
The Sokoto State Police Command has confirmed the incident and is collaborating with other security agencies to rescue the abducted individuals.
Local sources indicate that the assailants have been harassing the community despite the presence of security personnel in the area. However, timely intervention by security agents, led by Nigerian Army troops, has previously curtailed their activities.
