
NSCDC Seizes Stolen Crude Oil, Arrests Three Suspects
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Abia State has apprehended three individuals for alleged involvement in oil pipeline vandalism, oil theft, and illegal dealings in petroleum products. The arrests occurred in Umuowaga Umuelechi Obuzo Asa, located in Ukwa West Local Government Area.
The suspects have been identified as:
- Oscar Eteobong, 37, from Abak Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State
- Isaac Aniete Edemba Udoh, 40, from Obot Akara Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State
- Emmanuel Uzoma Sunday, 20, from Isiala-Ngwa North Local Government Area, Abia State
The NSCDC’s Anti-Vandal Patrol team acted on actionable intelligence, leading to the discovery of substantial quantities of petroleum products during the operation.
Abia State Commandant Akinsola Aderemi emphasized that investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend all individuals involved in this criminal enterprise aimed at sabotaging the nation’s economy. He reaffirmed the Corps’ commitment to eradicating criminal elements from Abia State and urged the public to collaborate by providing credible intelligence to aid in apprehending such criminals.
