Kanye West’s Antisemitic Posts Lead to Agency Departure
Kanye West has been dropped by his talent agency, 33 & West, following a series of antisemitic remarks. Daniel McCartney, a music agent from the agency, announced the decision on Instagram, stating that they could not stand by West’s “harmful and hateful comments.”
In addition to losing representation, West’s online Yeezy store was taken offline by Shopify due to violations of their terms, including the sale of merchandise featuring swastikas.
These actions come amid a lawsuit filed by a former Jewish employee alleging wrongful termination and discriminatory behavior by West. West’s history of antisemitic remarks has previously led to the termination of partnerships with major brands such as Adidas, Balenciaga, and Gap.
