
Convicts in Makurdi Surrender Hotel and Maybach
Seven individuals have been convicted by the Federal High Court in Makurdi, Benue State, resulting in the forfeiture of various assets, including a hotel, a Maybach car, and a total of ₦230.3 million.
The convicts are Tamaraudeinyefa Shedrack Brakekebebe, Godday Conference Brakekebebe, Terhemba Josiah Asagh, Nyiter Avalumun Elijah, Ahmed Abubakar, and two others. The forfeited assets comprise a hotel, a Maybach vehicle, and ₦230.3 million.
The court’s decision underscores the ongoing efforts to combat financial crimes and corruption within the region. The forfeited assets are expected to be utilized in accordance with legal provisions to further support anti-corruption initiatives.
