
Heartbreak: Father Mourns Daughter’s Death from Gun Violence
In a tragic incident in Byron, Wyoming, on February 10, 2025, 32-year-old Tranyelle Harshman fatally shot her four daughters before taking her own life. The victims included 9-year-old Brailey, 7-year-old Olivia, and 2-year-old twins Brooke and Jordan. While Brailey and the twins were pronounced dead at the scene, Olivia was transported to a hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she succumbed to her injuries on February 15.
Prior to the incident, Harshman contacted emergency services, reporting that she had shot her children and intended to harm herself. Authorities are investigating the circumstances leading up to the tragedy, with family members indicating that Harshman had been struggling with mental health issues, including postpartum depression and PTSD.
The fathers of the children, Quinn Blackmer and Cliff Harshman, have expressed profound grief over the loss. Blackmer, Olivia and Brailey’s father, shared his devastation, noting Olivia’s courageous fight for life. Cliff Harshman, father of the twins, emphasized that his wife’s actions were out of character, highlighting the severe impact of mental health challenges.
