Ondo’s Amotekun Forces Return 114 Northerners
The Ondo State Security Network Agency, known as Amotekun, has intercepted and returned 114 individuals, primarily from northern Nigeria, who were found wandering in the state’s forest reserves without clear purpose. These individuals were transported in two trucks and dispersed across forested regions, including Ore and Ofosu.
Upon profiling, it was discovered that all but three had no knowledge of their destination; they had been sent into the forests awaiting further directives from their handlers. In response, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa directed their immediate return to their respective states. Amotekun Commander Adetunji Adeleye emphasized that while freedom of movement is a right, it must be exercised with legitimate purpose. He also urged the public not to harbor strangers of questionable background or origin.
