FCT Court Hears Disturbing Story of Domestic Abuse
In a distressing case presented before the FCT Customary Court in Garki, Abuja, a businesswoman named Woye Ella has filed for divorce, alleging that her husband attempted to set her ablaze. Ella recounted that during a heated argument, her husband poured petrol on her with the intent to ignite it. Fortunately, neighbors intervened, preventing a potential tragedy.
The husband was subsequently detained by the police for four days until his father intervened. Ella has since moved out of their shared residence, citing fear for her life, and is seeking a court order to have her husband vacate the property, which she claims to have solely acquired and developed.
