Merve Taskin Arrested for Valentine's Night Offer

OnlyFans Star’s £9k Valentine’s Proposal Leads to Arrest

Turkish OnlyFans model Merve Taşkın has been placed under house arrest following a Valentine’s Day offer that authorities deemed “obscene.” On February 12, 2025, Taşkın posted on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), proposing to be a “girlfriend” for a dinner date on February 14th, targeting those spending the day alone. She set the fee at 400,000 Turkish Lira (approximately £9,000 or $11,000). In her post, Taşkın highlighted her conversational skills, beauty, and intelligence, and playfully cautioned potential clients about her “high ability to manipulate,” advising them to “be careful not to fall in love.”

The offer quickly went viral, leading to reports filed with the Presidential Communication Center (CİMER) by some of her followers. In response, the Public Morality Bureau of the İstanbul police detained Taşkın on February 14th. After spending a night in custody, she was brought before the Çağlayan Courthouse, where a judge ordered her to be placed under house arrest as a judicial control measure.

Following her release, Taşkın shared her experience on social media, expressing disbelief over the events. She recounted spending a night in a cold, airless, and unhygienic holding cell and mentioned that her phone was confiscated during the process.

This incident is not Taşkın’s first encounter with legal issues over her online content. In 2021, she was sentenced to five months in prison for sharing erotic photos taken during a trip to Amsterdam, including images from the city’s Sex Museum.
