Travis Scott Accused of Assault: Legal Proceedings Begin
Rapper Travis Scott is facing a lawsuit filed by Omar Muhanna, who alleges that he was assaulted by one of Scott’s security guards on August 17, 2024, in Manhattan. Muhanna claims the unprovoked attack resulted in serious and permanent injuries.
In response, Scott’s representatives have dismissed the lawsuit as “bogus,” asserting that the rapper was not present during the alleged incident. They contend that Scott was dining at a Manhattan restaurant at the time and that the security personnel involved were employed by a third-party company, not directly by Scott. Therefore, they argue, he should not be held liable for the actions of the security staff.
This lawsuit adds to a series of legal challenges Scott has encountered in recent years. Notably, in August 2024, he was arrested in Paris following an altercation with his bodyguard at a hotel.
