Felony Assault Charges Dropped Against A$AP Rocky
Grammy-nominated rapper A$AP Rocky has been acquitted of two felony assault charges involving a semi-automatic weapon. The Los Angeles jury delivered the not guilty verdict on February 18, 2025, following a three-week trial.
The charges stemmed from a November 2021 incident in Hollywood, where Rocky was accused of pointing a gun at his former friend, Terell Ephron, also known as A$AP Relli, and firing twice in his direction. Ephron claimed a minor injury from a bullet grazing his knuckles. Rocky’s defense argued that the gun was a prop used in a music video and that Ephron was the aggressor.
After the verdict, Rocky expressed gratitude to the jury, stating, “Thank y’all for saving my life.” He celebrated with his partner, Rihanna, and their children, who were present in the courtroom. Ephron has also filed a civil lawsuit against Rocky. The Los Angeles District Attorney’s office stated their commitment to seeking accountability, regardless of status or influence.
