Police Deny Kidnapping Claims in Lagos Estate Incident
The Lagos State Police Command has refuted reports of a kidnapping attempt in Victory Estate, Okota. A viral video had surfaced, showing three men being apprehended and interrogated by residents on suspicion of attempted abduction.
However, the police clarified that these individuals had entered the estate to visit a friend and were not involved in any criminal activity. The incident was not officially reported to the police, but an investigation has been initiated to ascertain the facts.
The estate chairman, two other executive members, and a resident are currently assisting with the ongoing inquiries. Further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
