Police Arrest Suspect in Ondo Neighbor’s Killing
On February 19, 2025, the Ondo State Police Command arraigned 32-year-old Emmanuel Fasuyi before a Magistrates’ Court in Akure for the alleged murder of his 65-year-old neighbor, Grace Ogunsulire. The incident reportedly occurred on September 16, 2024, at Oke-Itura Street, Yaba, Ondo City.
According to the prosecution, Fasuyi allegedly broke into Ogunsulire’s residence intending to steal, but upon encountering her, he fatally struck her on the head. The court has remanded Fasuyi to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Akure, pending further proceedings scheduled for February 25, 2025.
In a separate incident, a student of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, identified as Oluwaseun, was brutally murdered by unknown assailants at Opomulero Street in Owo, Ondo State. The circumstances surrounding this tragic event are currently under investigation.
