Visual Documentation: 48 Nigerian Women Deported from Libya
On February 20, 2025, Libya’s Department for Combating Illegal Migration (DCIM), in collaboration with Nigeria’s consular services and the International Organization for Migration (IOM), deported 48 Nigerian women and two children. The repatriation was conducted through Mitiga International Airport, ensuring their safe return to Nigeria.
This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to support Nigerian nationals facing difficulties abroad, particularly in conflict-affected regions like Libya. The deportation underscores the challenges migrants encounter and highlights the importance of international cooperation in addressing such issues.
