Family Tragedy: Ex-Convict’s Violent Outburst in Ekiti

Operatives of the Ekiti State Amotekun Corps have arrested 28-year-old ex-convict Faremi Ojo for allegedly threatening and attacking his family members in Ilupeju-Ekiti, Oye Local Government Area.

According to reports, Ojo, who previously served a prison term for dealing in human parts for money rituals, began terrorizing his family and the community upon his release. He allegedly strangled his father, stabbed his brother in the head with a screwdriver, and attempted to kill other family members before fleeing.

Eyewitnesses reported that Ojo frequently wielded dangerous weapons, including cutlasses and knives laced with charms, instilling fear in the community. Amotekun operatives arrested him following a complaint from his brother, and he has been handed over to the Rapid Response Squad of the Ekiti State Police Command for further investigation.

In a related incident, a couple in Ado-Ekiti reportedly killed each other during a domestic dispute. This tragic event underscores the prevalence of domestic violence in the region.
