Fr Kelvin Ugwu Condemns Blood Money Rituals

Fr Ugwu’s Call Against Ritualistic Practices

Nigerian Catholic priest, Fr. Kelvin Ugwu, has strongly criticized native doctors and individuals who believe in blood money rituals, asserting that such beliefs indirectly contribute to numerous deaths. In a recent statement, he emphasized that the notion of acquiring wealth through dark magic is a dangerous misconception that leads to harmful practices and loss of life.

Fr. Ugwu further challenged the credibility of juju and money rituals, particularly in light of recent events involving native doctors. Following the arrest of a well-known Anambra native doctor, Akwa Okuko Tiwara Aki, he questioned the efficacy of such practices, suggesting that if these rituals were truly powerful, their practitioners would not face legal consequences.

He also addressed the psychological impact of belief in juju, stating that its perceived power often stems from fear and the mindset of individuals rather than any inherent efficacy. Fr. Ugwu noted that both native doctor rituals and certain religious miracles rely heavily on the belief systems of individuals, implying that the true influence lies within one’s perception.
