Lagos-Ibadan Expressway: Tyre Incident Results in Death
A tragic accident occurred on February 21, 2025, at approximately 2:05 PM, when a tyre detached from a moving Kia commercial bus and fatally struck a pedestrian, Auwalu Abdulkadir, at the Kara Under Bridge along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The driver of the bus, which was reportedly traveling against traffic, fled the scene, abandoning the vehicle. Police have since towed the bus for further investigation and are actively seeking the driver’s whereabouts. The Ogun State Police Command has urged motorists to adhere to traffic regulations and ensure proper vehicle maintenance to prevent such tragic incidents.
