Edo Police Detain Suspect in Domestic Homicide
On February 22, 2025, the Edo State Police Command arrested 38-year-old Kelvin Izekor for the alleged murder of his wife, Success Izekor, also 38, at their residence on Upper Mission Extension in Benin City.
The arrest occurred after authorities received information about the incident and intervened to prevent an angry mob from lynching the suspect. Upon arrival, police found Success’s lifeless body with deep cuts to her head. Kelvin was taken into custody, and the Edo State Commissioner of Police, Betty Otimenyin, has assured the public of a thorough investigation into the matter.
