Disturbing Case: Parents Arrested for Daughter’s Strangulation
In a distressing incident outside Timberline High School in Lacey, Washington, parents Ihsan Ali and Zahraa Ali were arrested for allegedly attempting to strangle their 17-year-old daughter in what has been described as an attempted “honor killing.”
The altercation occurred after the daughter refused an arranged marriage with an older man in another country, leading to threats from her father. During the attack, the father reportedly began choking her to the point of unconsciousness, while the mother also attempted to strangle her.
The incident unfolded in front of other students, and the girl’s boyfriend was also assaulted by the father. Bystanders intervened, restraining the father until police arrived. The parents have been charged with attempted murder, attempted kidnapping, and assault. The victim is now in a safe place while the investigation continues.
