Michael Wilhoite Faces Charges After Police Incident

Denver Broncos assistant coach Michael Wilhoite was arrested on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Denver International Airport, facing charges of second-degree assault on a peace officer. The incident began when Wilhoite left his vehicle unattended in the airport’s departure area.

A police officer instructed him to move the car, leading to a verbal altercation during which Wilhoite allegedly told the officer to “shut the f*** up” and then physically confronted him.

The confrontation escalated, with Wilhoite reportedly punching the officer in the face, causing the officer to fall. The officer deployed a Taser, but Wilhoite managed to drive away before being arrested later. He was held on a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on March 10. The Broncos organization has acknowledged the incident and is currently gathering more information.
