Conflict Erupts: Tenant Attacks Landlord for Room Lock
In the Pegi community of Kuje Area Council, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), a dispute over unpaid rent escalated into a physical altercation between a tenant and his landlord. The tenant, identified as Musa Alhassan, a commercial driver, had reportedly failed to pay rent for over a year.
In response, the landlord, Samson Bako, locked Alhassan’s room while he was away. Upon returning and discovering the lock, Alhassan confronted Bako, leading to a heated argument that turned violent, with Alhassan allegedly assaulting the landlord. Local vigilantes intervened, and Alhassan was handed over to security personnel. Efforts to reach the FCT police command for comments were unsuccessful.
