EFCC Charges Jude Okoye in N1.3bn Fraud Case

Paul Okoye Stands by Jude Okoye Amid Fraud Allegations

Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, has publicly expressed support for his elder brother, Jude Okoye, following Jude’s arraignment by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged involvement in a ₦1.3 billion fraud.

Jude, the former manager of the defunct music group P-Square, was arraigned alongside his company, Northside Music Ltd, on charges of money laundering involving ₦1.38 billion, $1 million, and £34,537.59. The charges include the acquisition of a property at No 5, Tony Eromosele Street, Parkview Estate, Ikoyi, Lagos, worth ₦850 million, which is alleged to be proceeds of unlawful activities.

In response to the arraignment, Paul Okoye took to social media to offer words of encouragement to his brother, stating, “This too shall pass. Stay strong brother.” He also suggested that the legal challenges Jude is facing align with the desires of an unnamed individual, implying external influence or malice.
