
Sudan Plane Crash: Confirmed Deaths Now at 46
A Sudanese military aircraft crashed in Omdurman, near the capital Khartoum, resulting in at least 46 fatalities, including senior military officers and civilians.
The Antonov plane crashed shortly after takeoff from Wadi Sayidna air base, damaging multiple houses in the Karrari district. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
This incident occurs amid ongoing civil unrest in Sudan, which has led to significant loss of life and displacement since April 2023.
